Klax International, one of Europe’s leading companies operating schools, kindergartens and nurseries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ahmet Incikli as their new CEO in Denmark.
Ahmet Incikli is a recognized and experienced leader within the education industry and has now accepted the challenge of leading Klax Denmark as their new Director. Previously, Ahmet Incikli was the head of an independent school, where he demonstrated expertise in the establishment, strategic planning and management of institutions. He is also an avid entrepreneur who has started several edtech companies.
Entrepreneurship was precisely an important characteristic that Klax International demanded, as they have the ambition to start 5-6 new kindergartens and nurseries in Denmark. With his extensive experience in the education sector and a deeply rooted understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are presented, Ahmet Incikli looks forward to spreading Klax pedagogy in Denmark.
Klax pedagogy works on the basis of the Day Care Act, and supports the children when they paint, move, make music, build, investigate and experiment through play. The founder of pedagogy is Antje Bostelmann, who has published several books on pedagogy in nurseries and kindergartens.
Ahmet Incikli states: “I am excited to take on this challenging role as Director of Klax Denmark. I look forward to working together with skilled subject experts who can help raise the quality of Danish nurseries and kindergartens.”
At a time when a possible ban on screens in day care is being discussed in Denmark, Klax kindergartens use iPads and technology as tools to strengthen pedagogy. “During my stay in Berlin, I could clearly see the difference in the use of IT and screens in the Klax kindergartens. The children, for example, had GoPro cameras that recorded their daily life. This was used by the staff to evaluate and improve the children’s everyday life. There was also an iPad mounted on a smart stand that could rotate and record the children. It was clear to see that IT and screens were not being used for entertainment, but as tools for improvement and development. And that is thought-provoking,” says Ahmet Incikli.
Initially, Klax kindergartens will be established in Greve and Frederiksberg. Agreements have already been made, and the dates for the institutions’ opening will be announced in September 2023. The goal is to establish more Klax kindergartens, preferably in the Trekantsområdet, Horsens, Skanderborg, Aarhus and Aalborg.
